You didn't open a business to remember every login, app and password.
You open early and close late. In between, you fix the leaking sink, receive the delivery, answer that one-star review, run to the printer, cover a shift when someone calls out, chase down a vendor's invoice, and run out of gas on the way to a meeting with the bank. You miss dinner again. You check the bank balance in the parking lot.
And somewhere in all of that, you're supposed to know how the business is doing. The answers are out there, scattered across your point of sale, your bank, payroll, a stack of apps, a pile of spreadsheets and a bookkeeper who is a month behind. By the time it all comes together, it's too late to act on it.
The 2 a.m. list
What keeps you upWhat the Command Bar does
01
Payroll that almost doesn't clear
Friday is payroll. The bank balance is short, nothing tells you when the card deposits will land, and you end up covering it from your personal account. Money you never see again.
What the Command Bar does
Cash for the next 13 weeks after every bill and every payroll, with card deposits by day. You see the short week coming.
02
Cards maxed out before you noticed
You put things on the card to keep moving, then forget the card. By the time you add it all up, they're maxed out.
What the Command Bar does
Every card and loan in one place, with a payoff plan that only kicks in when you're ahead. Some months you just can't get ahead, and that's OK: the plan waits until real profit clears your monthly costs, then puts the extra toward the right card first and shows the month you'll be free.
03
The bills that come once a year
Rent goes up. The annual renewals land. The taxes you didn't set aside show up all at once.
What the Command Bar does
Every bill, the yearly ones and tax dates included, on one calendar, with a heads-up before it hits.
04
Sales are off and you don't know why
One weekend is dead, the next one sells out. Turns out it was a festival down the road, or Coachella pulling half your customers out of town.
What the Command Bar does
Every day next to the same day last year, with the weather and local events on the calendar, so you plan for them instead of getting caught.
05
The weekly spreadsheet shuffle
Every week your managers fill out a spreadsheet and email it to you. Then you copy and paste their numbers into yours, and by the time it all lines up, the week is over.
What the Command Bar does
Sales flow in from your systems every 30 minutes, and what your team used to type into spreadsheets, like counts, cash and requests, goes straight onto the board from the Store App. No emails, no copy and paste.
06
Questions you can't answer
A bank or an investor asks simple questions. What's your margin? What do you owe? You have five systems and five different answers.
What the Command Bar does
One set of numbers, tied together: sales, cash, P&L and debt, current to the week.
07
Labor that costs more than you think
Shifts move, the expensive person closes, and the hours don't match the sales. You find out when payroll runs.
What the Command Bar does
Sales by person, sales per hour and a heat map of your busiest and slowest hours, so you staff the rush, trim the dead hours and set your open hours with confidence.
“Running a small business can feel like the old cup game, only with three hundred cups and one ball. The ball is your money, and you spend your days lifting cups, trying to find it.”
Owners who carry the whole business deserve to see the whole business.
NOT JUST SHOPS
Built in a bottle shop. Made for any owner.
The Command Bar was born in a shop, but if you run a restaurant, a coffee shop, a boutique or a liquor store, you already know the feeling. Every owner faces the same challenges and the same blind spots. So the Command Bar is set up specifically for you, on the tools you already use. No new system to learn. Just one place to make business decisions from.
I'm a business owner too, and I live this every day. One night I was about to miss payroll. The bank was short and nothing told me when the card deposits would land, so I covered it from my personal account. I never got that money back. When I went looking for funding, banks and investors asked simple questions I couldn't answer, because my numbers lived in a dozen places and told a dozen different stories. So I built the Command Bar for my own business, and I run on it every morning. Now I set it up for owners like you.
For more than 20 years I've built the systems, reports and forecasts that big companies run on. At Intuit, I led business intelligence and forecasting for TurboTax Live: a $245M operation, with machine-learning forecasts that planned the hiring of 3,000 seasonal CPAs. Before that I was Director of Business Intelligence at MRC Smart Technology Solutions, a Xerox company, where I led a team of 53 across six departments, helped grow the company to $225M through acquisitions, and built a CRM that beat out Xerox's own system and saved more than $1M a year.
Then I opened Monday Morning, an NA bottle shop with two stores in San Diego. For the first year and a half I ran on chance. I spent money I didn't have because I couldn't see what was coming, taxes included. The software I paid for was good at telling me what I could do and taking its cut, but none of it understood my business.
The Command Bar is where those two worlds collided. It's the board I wished I had, built with the tools I used at big companies and tested every day in my own stores.
I'm not here to solve problems for big companies. Every small business is different, and its tools should be built around it. I want to be your trusted partner, because I'm a small business owner too, and I want you to succeed.

THE PLAN
Three steps to your whole business on one screen.
1.
Tell us how you run
A 10-minute intake form. You tell us your systems and the questions you want answered every morning.
2.
We connect, read-only
Your point of sale, bank, payroll and accounting, with view-only access. Nothing can move money.
3.
Run your business
Your board refreshes every 30 minutes in the cloud, password-protected, on any device. Your computer can be off.
5 a.m. Coffee in one hand, your whole business in the other.
Before anyone else is up, you already know how yesterday went against last year, what cash looks like after every bill for the next 13 weeks, what's due this week and what to move between locations. No logins. No spreadsheets to chase. No waiting on the books. Just decisions. And once you know, you can take that morning walk to clear your head, instead of carrying the day's worries with you.
Today, this week and this month, by location and by hour, side by side with last year.
Cash you can trust
Bank balances from a read-only bank feed, card deposits by day, and a 13-week cash forecast.
Nothing sneaks up
Every bill, payroll, tax date, lease and renewal on one calendar, with email heads-ups.
A P&L that's current
Built from your bank and card statements, so you're not waiting on the books.
Stock, sorted
What to move between locations, what to order and what to count today, sized from what actually sells.
Your team
Sales by person, sales per hour, and register cash counted at every open and close.
Plan ahead
Local events, the weather and last year's numbers for any day you're planning.
Your morning, handled
A Monday memo with three decisions, plus daily heads-ups by email: when yesterday looked off, when a bill is coming due, and the day's stock to-do.
SIMPLE PRICING, NO SURPRISES
Pick your board.
One setup fee to connect your systems and shape the board around how you run. One monthly fee to keep it hosted, refreshed and working. No per-user charges and no long contract.

How it works: half the setup fee at signing, half when your board goes live. Monthly billing starts at launch, with a 3-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice. Your data stays yours: we hand over an export if you ever leave. The Command Bar shows your numbers; it isn't tax, legal or investment advice.
The Command Bar is where we start. Everything below was built for and proven in our own businesses, and we set it up for you whenever you're ready. Add any of them to your plan.
